Senior Director Americas, International Investment and Trade

Martha currently serves as the Senior Director Americas (North and South) for the Greater Houston Partnership, where she is responsible for implementing activities and pro-grams that support accomplishing the goals of the Economic Development Department’s Strategy. The America’s Director is also responsible for developing targeted programs, events, missions, and activities for GHP member companies involved in international business, trade development and related activities.
She is also in charge of developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing programs aimed at attracting foreign direct investment from North and South America to the Houston region, which leads to job creation and capital investment.
Martha is a Lawyer with depth experience in different areas of law including energy, international, immigration, corporate affairs, commercial transactions, legislative work, and ethics and compliance. Her experience comes from working in the public and private sectors.
Martha also holds a master’s degree in government and public Policy, and she served at Federal and State levels in several Agencies of the Mexican Government. Most recently she worked for an International Oil Company in the energy private sector as in house Counsel (Upstream/Midstream/Downstream).
Martha is passionate about energy topics specially to the ones related to the energy transition and renewables as well as DE&I related matters
